2011 Pachamama Journeys to the Amazon Rainforest of Ecuador – a unique Indigenous Experience
Sponsored by The Pachamama Alliance, our rainforest trips are life altering journeys into one of the few remaining prestine rainforests on our plant. We travel at the invitation of the Achuar peoples of the Amazon Rainforest of Ecuador, an ancient and intact dream culture.
Our group will gather in the majestic Andean mountains of Ecuador. In route to the rainforest, we will visit the Andean city of Otavalo where we will visit with a revered indigenous shaman for a healing and purification ceremony.
We will travel by small plane and then by canoe into remote villages in the rainforest. We will visit the Achuar peoples, of one of the world’s oldest and most intact remaining dream cultures. We will stay in world renowned eco-tourist lodges built by the Achuar. You will experience the soul stirring awe of being in one of the largest untouched stands of primary forests in the world, breathing the purest, most oxygenated air possible.
After leaving the rainforest, we will retreat to a beautiful Hacienda in the cloud forests with panoramic views of Mt Tungurahua volcano. We will use the energy of the active volcano to integrate our experiences in a closing ritual.
